Job Title: General Cover Teacher
Area: Rochdale, Manchester
Start Date: Monday 15th June 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Long Term
Pay rate: £1,000 - £1,450 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the Role:

We are looking for a General Cover Teacher who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to make a real impact! In this role, you will provide engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring that students continue to make progress even when their regular teachers are absent. You will play a key role in maintaining consistency, offering support, and helping students thrive in a positive learning environment.

You will join a dynamic, collaborative team dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering atmosphere for all learners. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), if you bring positivity, resilience, and flexibility, we want to hear from you! What We're Looking For:

Someone passionate about teaching and supporting students on the autism spectrum
Strong communication skills, and the ability to quickly build rapport with students and colleagues
Flexible and resilient, with the ability to adapt to the varied needs of the students
Have a commitment to learning and development, and a willingness to explore and implement autism-inclusive teaching strategies
Demonstrate a holistic approach to student development, focusing not only on academic success but also emotional and social growth

To be eligible you must:

Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, BEd)
Be eligible to work in the UK
Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (if not already registered with the online update service)
Provide two professional or academic references
