Astute's Renewable Energy team is partnering with a leading business who own and operate a portfolio of anaerobic digestion plants. We are looking to recruit a Feedstock Development Manager, ideally located in the Yorkshire area, to source sustainable materials for new and existing plants.

Responsibilities and duties of the Feedstock Development Manager role

Reporting to the Senior Feedstock Manager you will:

Procure crop and waste feedstocks for our biomethane plants in the Northeast of the UK
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
Negotiate contracts and manage supply agreements
Analyse market trends and identify new feedstock opportunities
Collaborate with the feedstock team to optimize procurement strategies
Ensure compliance with quality standards and sustainability requirements
Monitor and report on feedstock inventory and supply chain performance
Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field
A full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Personal skills

The Feedstock Development Manager role would suit someone who is:

3+ years of experience in feedstock procurement or similar role in the renewable energy sector
Strong knowledge of agricultural and waste management industries
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with sustainability practices and renewable energy regulations
