Location: Winsford, Cheshire
Salary: £33,552 per annum + Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (2 Days 7am-7pm / 2 Nights 7pm-7am)

Job Role of the Extrusion Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Extrusion Operator to join a well-established, international manufacturing business operating within the packaging sector. This site runs a highly automated 24/7 operation and offers excellent long-term career prospects through structured training and progression opportunities.

The successful Extrusion Operator will play a key role in the production of blown film products, ensuring output meets customer specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. Full training will be provided through a comprehensive induction and 13-week training programme, making this a great opportunity for candidates looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing.

Responsibilities of the Extrusion Operator

Operating blown film extrusion machinery to produce products to customer specifications.

Completing order changes and material blend changes.

Carrying out quality control checks and accurately recording results.

Taking corrective action where required to maintain product quality.

Working from production schedules, work tickets, and job specifications.

Completing production documentation accurately.

Ensuring finished products are packaged to the required standard.

Maintaining housekeeping and hygiene standards.

Adhering to all health and safety procedures.

Supporting additional operational activities as required.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Extrusion Operator

Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

Previous experience operating machinery

Desirable Requirements

Previous extrusion experience.

Experience within plastics, packaging, film production, or process manufacturing.

Experience working in a continuous production environment.
