Outreach Tutor (SEND) - English & Maths
Locations: Preston, Leyland, Penwortham, Chorley, Longridge, Bamber Bridge
Pay: £27-£33 per hour
Hours: Flexible
We are recruiting Outreach Tutors to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are unable to attend mainstream school. This role involves delivering 1:1 English and Maths tuition to help pupils continue their education and improve their confidence and attainment.
Sessions take place either in the student's home or in a local public library. You will be responsible for planning and adapting lessons to suit each student's needs and ability level, as well as monitoring their progress.
Requirements:
Experience working with SEND or SEMH students
Good subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
Ability to work independently and adapt teaching methods
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
Access to transport preferred due to travel between locations
This is a flexible role suited to tutors who can engage students who require alternative provision
