Transport Manager

A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Transport Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

Managing transport operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient delivery performance
Planning and coordinating haulage movements across multiple sites
Monitoring and live tracking of fleet activity, proactively resolving transport issues and delays
Liaising with customers, suppliers, hauliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
Managing stock transfers, sales order movements and third-party logistics activities
Maintaining and updating logistics planning schedules and transport records
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Transport Manager position:

Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet coordination
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Logistics distribution and supply chain experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
SAP experience would be advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
