Job Description: Field Service Engineer
£35,000 to £42,000
South West location, UK (Field-Based)
Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join their team.
The main purpose of this role is to service, maintain, install, and commission water treatment systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction.

This role is full-time and permanent, working 40 hours per week, with travel across the UK and occasional overseas work required.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Servicing and maintaining water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plants
Managing relationships with customers and site operatives
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues both on-site and remotely
Completing installation and commissioning of equipment (subject to skills and experience)
Producing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
Responding to customer requirements in line with technical and commercial specifications
Supporting continuous service improvement initiatives
Ensuring high standards of customer care at all times
Adhering to all company policies, including Health & Safety
The ideal candidate:
GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Electrical background preferred (mechanical experience also considered)
Experience within the water treatment industry (advantageous)
Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in a field-based technical role (advantageous)
Knowledge of PLC systems (desirable but not essential)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good IT skills, including MS Office
