Launch your engineering career with Stiltz as a Trainee homelift Engineer.

Stiltz is a growing global company investing in the next generation of field service engineers. As a trainee homelift Engineer, you’ll bring electro‑mechanical skills or a similar hands‑on technical background, along with the drive to develop your capabilities in a field‑based engineering role. If you enjoy problem‑solving, practical work, and learning new technologies, this trainee opportunity offers full training, strong support, and a clear path to grow your engineering career.

No two days are the same ...

In this field-based engineering role, you’ll be working as part of a 2-person team, assisting a qualified homelift Engineer. One day you could be installing a new Stiltz homelift, and the next helping a customer get back up and running.

As a Trainee homelift Engineer, you’ll work closely with an experienced homelift Engineer travelling across the North of England and Scotland, while being fully supported by a collaborative engineering team that’s committed to your development and success.

What Stiltz do

Stiltz design and install homelifts that improve people’s independence and quality of life. As demand continues to grow across the UK and internationally, we are investing in the next generation of engineers.

What we can offer:

Salary £26,732 per annum

Opportunity to earn overtime + call out allowance + bonus scheme + company vehicle

25 days holiday + 8 statutory bank holidays + 1 extra day off for your birthday!

Life assurance + critical illness cover

Pension scheme

Company bonus scheme

Enhanced cash health scheme + wellbeing support

Employee referral scheme

Employee discounts

Cycle to work scheme

Fully supported induction and ongoing training.

Genuine career progression opportunities.

What you will do:

Assist with the install our award winning Stiltz Homelifts in customer homes

Support service, maintenance and repair of homelifts

Manage your van stock, tools and equipment

Deliver a great customer experience every day

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for people who are reliable, motivated, and eager to learn. A strong work ethic and a practical, hands-on approach are important, along with a willingness to develop your skills through full training and support.

You might already have experience in:

Automotive or mechanics

Telecoms or communications

Manufacturing

Rail or transport

Electrical or mechanical engineering

Field service engineering

Or perhaps you have no industry experience at all — are you a hands-on, motivated individual with an engineering mindset and a willingness to learn? If so, keep reading.

You'll also need:

Full UK driving license - essential, as company vehicle provided

Good communication skills

Confidence working independently

Flexibility to travel across the region (with occasional overnight stays)

A technical qualification is beneficial but not essential. If you have relevant hands-on experience or transferable technical skills, we’d love to hear from you.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, but most importantly you will have a willingness to learn.

Build your future with us

This is an opportunity to join a growing business where you can develop practical engineering skills, gain valuable industry experience, and build a long-term career. You’ll receive ongoing training and support from day one to help you succeed and progress. APPLY NOW AND START YOUR JOURNEY WITH STILTZ
