Assembly Operative

My client is an industry leader within the Fluid Power sector having been established over 40 years they have concreted themselves as one of the largest distributors of fluid power products in the UK, supplying various industries. Due to an exciting period of growth they are now looking for an Assembly Operative to join their engineering team.

Assembly Operative

Gloucester

Monday to Friday

£26,000 - £28,000 per annum DOE, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, pension, life insurance, career development.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble hydraulic and industrial hose kits to specification
Cut hose to required lengths using appropriate equipment
Fit and secure couplings, fittings, and connectors
Carry out pressure testing and quality checks where required
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
Maintain accurate records of assembled items and stock usage
Ensure all work is completed to company quality and safety standards
Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe
Assist with general depot duties when required
Skills & Experience

Essential:

Good attention to detail and accuracy
Practical, hands-on skills
Ability to follow instructions and technical specifications
Basic numeracy and measurement skills
Reliable and punctual
Desirable:

Experience in hose assembly, hydraulics, or mechanical fitting
Warehouse or depot experience
Familiarity with tools and machinery used in assembly
Personal Attributes

Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Consistent and methodical approach to tasks
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
