The Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for a Stock Controller to join a well-established chemical manufacturing business on an initial 3-month contract. As Stock Controller you will play a key role in managing the inventory operations, ensuring critical materials are available to support engineering and production activities

Your duties and responsibilities will be

Oversee stock levels of engineering spares to ensure operational continuity and minimise downtime across multiple sites
Act as the key link between stores, engineering and operations teams to resolve material requirements and queries efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure full compliance with audit, quality and environmental standards
Support supplier management by identifying risks, resolving issues and ensuring continuity of supply
Manage logistics activities including transport coordination, documentation and cost tracking for materials movement
You will have the following qualifications & experience:

Proven experience in stock control, inventory management or stores operations within an engineering or industrial environment
Strong understanding of inventory systems, stock accuracy and audit processes
Ability to manage competing priorities across complex operations with multiple stakeholders
Awareness of safety, health and environmental standards within a warehouse or site-based setting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with engineering, procurement and operational teams
