Shape the future of infrastructure while championing the rural landscape.

Are you passionate about the countryside, but equally excited by the buzz of major infrastructure projects? We're looking for a motivated Agricultural Liaison Officer to join our Infrastructure team across the North East - ideally based within easy reach of County Durham or Leeds.

This is your chance to be the trusted link between landowners, contractors, and clients, making sure projects run smoothly while protecting the interests of rural communities. If you thrive on stakeholder engagement, problem‑solving, and keeping delivery on track, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Proactively engaging with landowners to ensure necessary land access.

Keeping the client informed and advising on practical matters impacting land.

Ensuring that the contractor on site adheres to commitments made to landowners.

Managing and resolving landowner complaints related to project activities.

Coordinating site visits for records of condition and meetings.

Assisting the team in settling compensation claims.

Maintaining accurate stakeholder records.

Working within client‑defined timeframes to ensure timely programme delivery.

What You'll Need

Strong knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs, with an understanding of how infrastructure schemes impact land.

Working knowledge of soil management, drainage plans, and records of condition would be advantageous.

A natural relationship‑builder with excellent interpersonal skills - able to work with landowners, contractors, and clients at all levels.

Ambition to drive business initiatives forward while maintaining trusted relationships.

A full UK driving licence

Why Join Us?

Competitive salary + flexible benefits package (extra leave, health cash plans, cycle to work scheme, and more).

Options for flexible and agile working to suit your lifestyle.

Be part of a team that's shaping the future of utilities and infrastructure while respecting the rural environment.

A role where you'll genuinely make a difference to communities, landowners, and the projects that power our everyday lives
