SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School**

Aspire People are recruiting for a dedicated **SEND Teaching Assistant** to join a welcoming primary school supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and additional learning needs.

The school is seeking someone who can provide consistent classroom support while helping pupils access learning in a positive and inclusive environment. The role may include supporting pupils in small groups, classroom activities, and occasional individual interventions depending on the needs of the class.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have experience working with children within UK primary schools or those from backgrounds such as childcare, youth support, mentoring, psychology, or care work.

**Responsibilities:**
* Supporting pupils with SEND within lessons and structured activities
* Helping children remain focused and engaged within the classroom
* Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
* Assisting the teacher with differentiated learning activities
* Providing small-group support and targeted interventions
* Encouraging independence and positive learning behaviours
* Supporting pupils during transitions and unstructured times where required

**The School Is Looking For Someone Who:**
* Has experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs
* Understands the importance of inclusive education
* Is patient, empathetic, and nurturing
* Can work collaboratively as part of a team
* Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Is passionate about helping children achieve their potential
