Supervising Social Worker
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per year (depending on experience)
Location: North East England (Durham, Newcastle & Sunderland)
Job Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in the office
An Independent Fostering Agency in the North East is currently looking for a passionate and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join their growing fostering service on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated social worker who is committed to supporting foster carers and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and supporting a caseload of foster carers across Durham, Newcastle, and Sunderland
Providing supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers
Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding for children and young people
Completing assessments, reports, and required documentation
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
Experience within fostering, children’s services, or a related area
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Passionate about supporting foster families and improving outcomes for children
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
