Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Wincanton who is actively looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer t to join the team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
This is a hands-on position within the Engineering team, focused on ensuring the reliability, performance and safety of site equipment and facilities at the Wincanton location. The role involves carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance, supporting day-to-day operations, and contributing to continuous improvement of plant performance.
Mechanical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
Electrical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, sensors, valves, control gear, VSDs, servos, instrumentation, power distribution systems, safety systems etc.
Takes care of the electrical and mechanical settings, documenting them where possible.
What you will need to succeed:
Recognized engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering with 5 years minimum experience in a reactive production environment.
Building Services Experience: Boilers, air handling plant, refrigeration
Previous shift work experience
Use of a CMMS
Food sector background
Packaging machinery What you will receive in return:
£45,000 to £47,0000 per annum + company bonus
Weekend overtime available
Monday - Thursday 6-2 & 2-10, Friday 6-1 & 1-8 (39 hours)
No Nights
Leave of 29 days inc BHs. +1 day at 3 years, +1 day at 5 years
Pension EE5%, ER3%
