Health & Safety Advisor Knutsford | £30,000 – £37,000 + Bonus + Company Car Four vacancies available due to growth & internal promotions

Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a large, successful distribution business experiencing significant growth and continued investment in its national Health & Safety function. Due to internal promotions and expanding operational demands, we are supporting the recruitment of 4 Health & Safety Advisors to join their established team.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their Health & Safety careers within a respected, people‑focused organisation that values progression, autonomy, and long‑term development.
The Role Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in supporting sites and operational teams across the region. This is a hands‑on, varied position where you’ll be out on sites, building relationships, advising teams, and helping to drive a positive safety culture.
A company car is provided, and you should be comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and communication of the company Health & Safety Policy
Provide day‑to‑day H&S advice to branch and operational teams
Assist with delivering H&S training and maintaining accurate training records
Review CAPEX proposals to identify potential H&S risks
Monitor and support the completion of Risk Assessments, ensuring actions are followed up
Lead independent project work to develop best‑practice H&S processes
Collect and report key H&S risk indicators
Conduct site visits and ad‑hoc assessments, identifying hazards and recommending controls
Carry out Fire Safety Risk Assessments and inspections
Contribute to policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Support the central management of the Operator Licence and associated documentation
Assist with Operator Licence visits and coordination
Skills & Experience Essential:

Full, clean UK driving licence
Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Desirable:

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within logistics, distribution, or industrial environments
Good understanding of H&S legislation and risk assessment processes
