Job Title: Prep & Cleaner
Location: Hailsham, East Sussex

About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Prep & Cleaner to join their team. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing, cleaning, inspecting, and finishing precision components to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clean, inspect, package, and label components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ultra-high vacuum (UHV) standards
Carry out leak testing on chambers
Perform bead blasting to remove surface deposits and achieve high-quality finishes
Identify and report any faults or defects
Work to deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Support with additional tasks as required
Occasional European travel
Skills & Experience
Experience working to detailed cleaning or technical standards (UHV experience desirable)
Knowledge of working with chemicals and associated safety procedures
Ability to read and follow work instructions
Experience using abrasive materials in a cleaning or finishing environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work to deadlines without compromising standards
Awareness of on-time delivery requirements
Bead blasting experience is advantageous
Personal Attributes
Motivated and enthusiastic
Strong team player
Able to follow instructions accurately
Positive and proactive attitude
Reliable with good timekeeping
Willing to contribute to continuous improvement
Interest in engineering or technology is beneficial
Will need to train to Level 2 Leak Tester so must have a good grasp of mathematics
