Workshop / Garage-Based Mechanic

Resolve Recruitment Services are searching for a skilled Workshop Mechanic to join a busy and professional garage environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanic seeking a stable, workshop-based role with consistent hours and a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
– Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within a workshop environment
– Diagnose mechanical and technical faults
– Specialise in cam belts, clutches, and general vehicle repairs
– Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship

Requirements
– NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (required)
– Minimum 6 years’ experience (desirable)
– Strong diagnostic skills
– Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Salary & Benefits
– £20 per hour (£41,600 per annum based on 40 hours)
– Overtime paid at time and a half
– Salary reviewed every 12 months
– Monthly pay (around the 1st of each month)
– Discounts on MOTs and parts

Working Hours
– Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
– Friday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
– 40 hours per week
– 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Additional Information
– 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (April–March)
– Company pension scheme (NEST)
– Quarterly performance reviews and annual appraisal
– Notice period: 1 week during probation, 1 month thereafter
