Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a leading building services consultancy to recruit an Associate Director to support the management and growth of their office and engineering team.
This Associate Director role offers a salary of up to £110,000 along with a car allowance, private healthcare, and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Associate Director role

Within this role, you will:

Act as the discipline lead for the office, providing technical and operational support to engineers locally and across multiple offices
Assist in the day-to-day management of the office and engineering team, including client management, invoicing, resource management, team morale, and business development
Manage multiple projects and lead frameworks/workstreams in a co-ordinated manner, ensuring delivery to deadlines and within fee cost requirements
Act as the client's main technical point of contact (and where required overall project lead), providing excellent client care throughout
Maintain and develop client relationships, promoting the company to existing and potential clients and industry contacts
Support business development activities, identifying opportunities for new and repeat work, including bringing or developing client accounts
Play a key role in strengthening the electrical capability within the business following a recent senior retirement

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Degree/experience qualified in Engineering or a related discipline

Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE or equivalent) - essential

Strong background in building services engineering

Proven experience in managing teams, projects, and client relationships

Demonstrable experience in business development and/or ability to bring existing client accounts

Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability

Personal skills

The Associate Director role would suit someone who is:

Commercially aware with a proactive approach to winning work

Highly organised with strong time management abilities
