CNC Offline Programmer

Location: Stroud

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE

Shift Pattern: Day Shift

Are you an experienced CNC Offline Programmer looking to join a modern engineering business working with advanced machining technology?

Do you have strong CNC Milling programming experience and knowledge of Edgecam software? Are you looking for a well-paid fixed-term opportunity within a stable and highly respected manufacturing environment?

Our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Stroud, is currently looking to recruit a skilled CNC Offline Programmer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern machining environment programming complex components across both horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines, as well as CNC turn-mill machines.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production efficiency, optimising machining processes, and ensuring high-quality output across the machine shop.

Role Responsibilities

Creating and optimising offline CNC programs using Edgecam

Supporting CNC Milling operations across horizontal and vertical machining centres

Programming CNC turn-mill machines for complex precision components

Using Vericut software for program verification and simulation

Supporting production teams with tooling, process improvements, and technical problem solving

Reducing cycle times and improving machining efficiency where possible

Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and delivery targets are met

Ensuring all work is completed in line with engineering drawings and specifications
The Person

Previous experience as a CNC Offline Programmer within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment is essential

Strong experience using Edgecam software is essential

Previous CNC Milling programming experience is essential

Experience with Vericut software would be advantageous

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
