SEN Teacher - Secondary - September 2026 Start - 4 Days Per Week - Monday to Thursday
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist secondary setting for a September 2026 start.
This is a part-time role working 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday, supporting pupils primarily across KS4, with some KS3 lessons depending on the timetable.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, speech and communication needs, and wider SEN needs. This role would suit a confident and experienced SEN teacher who can plan independently, deliver adapted lessons, and build strong relationships with pupils who require a structured and supportive learning environment.
The Role:
SEN Teacher role within a secondary specialist setting
Working primarily with KS4 pupils, with some KS3 lessons if required
Delivering ASDAN KS4 accreditation, Humanities pathways, Preparing for Adulthood, and a small amount of RE
Responsible for own planning and lesson preparation
Covering various classes and groups across the school
Supporting pupils with autism, communication needs, and additional SEN
Creating a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
No form tutor responsibilitiesThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS
Have previous SEN teaching experience
Be confident teaching secondary-aged pupils, particularly KS4
Have strong planning, differentiation, and behaviour management skills
Be completely fluent in English, due to pupils' speech and communication needs
Be able to work independently and take responsibility for planning
Have a calm, patient, and consistent approach
Ideally be within MPS up to M6, although strong candidates above this may still be consideredPlease note:
This role is not suitable for ECTs due to the level of SEN experience required.
