We are looking for an experienced Store Manager for a National Schoolwear retailer in Oxford to lead the day-to-day operations in a busy store.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth branch operations, delivering exceptional customer service, managing team performance, and achieving operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage stock control and inventory levels.
Maintain excellent shop floor and stockroom standards.
Lead and support branch supervisors.
Manage branch financial responsibilities, including staffing budgets, petty cash, and contractor costs.
Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Complete daily banking procedures.
Prepare and submit end-of-month reports and spreadsheets.
Ensure branch dispatch targets are consistently achieved.
Recruit, train, develop, and retain team members.
Deliver and record ongoing training and development.
Identify performance issues and implement improvement plans where required.
Work closely with supervisors to achieve and maintain branch standards.
Support employee wellbeing and foster a positive working environment.
Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
Act as the escalation point for customer complaints and queries.
Monitor and respond to branch communications.
Ensure customer service procedures are consistently followed, including telephone and email standards.
Promote a customer-focused culture throughout the branch.
Skills & Experience
Essential

Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Experience managing operational and financial responsibilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience using NetSuite or similar business systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
