An established specialist life safety contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm / Fire Suppression / Electrical Engineer to support continued growth across their service and maintenance division.
This is a hands-on role working on complex, critical life safety systems, offering strong earning potential through overtime, travel and allowances.
The Role
Installation (project-based), commissioning, servicing and remedial works on fire alarm and fire suppression systems
Working on complex systems within critical environments (e.g. data centres and high-risk sites)
Predominantly site-based across the North West, with UK travel as required
Occasional working away:
Typically 1 week per quarter (sometimes 2)
Overseas work mainly in Germany and the Netherlands
All travel, accommodation, food and expenses covered when working away
Paid overtime and enhanced rates for UK and overseas workExperience Required
3–5+ years’ experience working on fire alarm systems
Strong experience with addressable systems (e.g. Gent, Notifier, Advanced)
Experience with fire suppression systems (gas suppression / water mist) is highly desirable and a key differentiator
Experience with commissioning, fault finding and system-level troubleshooting
Comfortable working independently on complex sites

Basic salary circa £40,000
Higher salaries available (£42k–£43k+) for strong all-round candidates
Significant overtime available – realistic total earnings £50k–£70k+
