Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 DOE

Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 17:15 | Friday 08:30 – 16:00

Syntech Recruitment are working with a leading control systems integration business to recruit a Senior Control Systems Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced controls professional to lead the design, development and delivery of PLC, SCADA and HMI projects whilst mentoring junior engineers and supporting the continued growth of the engineering team.

Senior Control Systems Engineer Duties

* Lead the design, development and commissioning of control systems projects

* Develop PLC, SCADA and HMI software solutions

* Attend client meetings and conduct site surveys

* Provide technical leadership across multiple projects

* Support project delivery from concept through to commissioning

* Produce technical documentation and project reports

* Configure and programme control systems using a range of platforms

* Support FAT, SAT and site commissioning activities

* Mentor and develop graduate and junior engineers

* Work closely with clients to develop technical solutions

* Ensure projects are delivered to quality, budget and programme requirements

* Support continuous improvement and engineering best practice

Senior Control Systems Engineer Requirements

* Previous experience in a Senior or Lead Control Systems Engineering position

* Minimum 5 years' experience within control systems integration

* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar discipline

* Experience developing PLC, SCADA and HMI software

* Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Wonderware, AVEVA or GeoSCADA platforms

* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills

* Experience producing technical documentation and specifications

* Previous mentoring or team leadership experience

* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities

* Instrumentation and electrical experience would be advantageous

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Must be eligible to work in the UK
