Location: South East London
Pay: £25–£30 per hour PAYE
Hours: Part-Time / Full-Time / Flexible Opportunities

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for children and young people aged 5–25 across South East London.

This rewarding outreach role is ideal for experienced tutors, learning mentors, teaching assistants, HLTAs, youth workers, support workers, and education professionals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

You will provide tailored support to learners who may be accessing alternative provision, EOTAS packages, elective home education, or require additional support due to SEND and SEMH needs.

Learners May Present With:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• SEMH needs
• Speech and Language Needs
• Anxiety and EBSA
• EHCP-linked needs
• Dyslexia and other learning differences
• Alternative Provision and EOTAS pathways

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions
• Support learners across Primary, KS3, KS4, GCSE and Functional Skills levels
• Build positive relationships that promote engagement and confidence
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
• Support both academic progress and personal development
• Complete session reports and learner feedback
• Work collaboratively with families and professionals

Tuition Takes Place In:

• Homes
• Libraries
• Community venues

Requirements:

✔ Minimum 1 year of tutoring, education, mentoring, youth work or support work experience
✔ Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, Autism or ADHD
✔ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Ability to work independently and manage your own timetable
✔ Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one
✔ Right to work in the UK
