HRGO Recruitment are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining high-performing machinery, improving reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.
The role:
Delivering routine maintenance activities across production and processing machinery
Identifying faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to reduce production downtime
Supporting the smooth operation of extrusion and converting processes
Troubleshooting electrical control systems, drives, motors, sensors, and automation equipment
Maintaining mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, rollers, and pneumatic systems
Assisting with the upkeep of material handling and conveying equipment throughout the plant
Carrying out machine inspections, servicing, and component replacements as required
Supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Ensuring engineering work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site procedures
Recording maintenance activities accurately within the company maintenance system
Contributing to ongoing improvements in plant efficiency, reliability, and overall performanceThe candidate:
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
Time-served multi-skilled maintenance engineer
Electrically biased (60/40 electrical/mechanical)
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience within extrusion or plastics would be advantageous
