Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm & Friday 8.30am – 2pm

Salary: £34,000 - £57,000 per annum

We are recruiting for an experienced EHS Specialist to join a leading engineering & manufacturing business in Poole.

You will take ownership of all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities on site, ensuring compliance with legislation while driving a strong, proactive safety culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Promote a positive safety culture through engagement and coaching

* Lead EHS initiatives across welding, fabrication, machinery safety, lifting operations, LOTO and permit-to-work systems

* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

* Conduct audits and inspections (ISO 45001 & 14001)

* Maintain compliance documentation and ensure audit readiness

* Deliver EHS training and support continuous improvement

Requirements:

* NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)

* Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or fabrication environments

* Strong knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation

* Experience with ISO 45001 / 14001 systems

* Skilled in incident investigation and risk assessment

* Strong communication and influencing skills

Desirable:

* NEBOSH Diploma

* Welding/fabrication environment experience
