Due to expansion within the Primal Department of our client's business, we have an exclusive exciting opportunity available for a Semi-Skilled Engineer to join one of Europe's leading privately owned food processors at their site in Ellesmere.
Job Title: Semi Skilled Engineer
Location: Ellesmere
Salary: c 32,000
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off 5am to 5pm
Purpose of the role:
As a Semi-Skilled Engineer, you will work as part of the Primal Maintenance Team and be responsible for maintaining equipment and minimising downtime. You will be accountable to the Engineering Manager and Assistant Managers, while reporting to and receiving day-to-day direction from your Engineering Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs.
* Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs in a timely and controlled manner.
* Provide progress reports to Engineering Management and Supervisors.
* Proactively complete scheduled work plans, start-up checks, and related tasks.
* Carry out special projects as required by the Engineering Management team.
* Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation.
* Liaise with the production team to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently.
You will have completed an apprenticeship or an equivalent formal maintenance training programme with relevant practical experience. You will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to follow direction and provide professional challenge when required, along with proven experience of planned maintenance systems and breakdown response.
Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
