The Role
To manage and grow the showroom area of the builders merchants by providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and ensuring the showroom is well-maintained and presented to the highest standards. You will lead the showroom team, engage with trade and retail customers, and promote kitchen, bathroom, and interior products.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the showroom
* Greet customers and provide expert advice on product ranges (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, flooring)
* Work with trade professionals, architects, and retail clients to understand needs and suggest solutions
* Design and present layouts using CAD or design software (if applicable)
* Manage customer quotations, orders, and follow-ups
* Drive sales performance and meet or exceed targets
* Train, support, and lead showroom staff
* Maintain showroom appearance and merchandising to reflect current trends and promotions
* Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse to ensure product availability
* Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
* Maintain accurate records and report on showroom activity and performance
The Requirements
* ​Proven experience in showroom sales, ideally in builders merchants or related industries (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, interiors)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Commercial awareness and sales focus
* Team leadership or supervisory experience
* Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
* Product knowledge in construction/interiors (tiles, bathrooms, joinery, etc.)
* Experience using POS and CRM systems
* Full Driving Licence
