Start People seeking a skilled and reliable Production Welder to join our team in Crook. The role involves the fabrication and welding of handrails and associated metalwork in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a welder with good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
This role is permanent from day 1
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding on mild steel components for handrail production
* Fabricate and assemble handrails to drawings and specifications
* Work within a production-based environment to meet daily targets
* Ensure all welds meet required quality and safety standards
* Carry out basic preparation work (cutting, grinding, measuring)
* Conduct visual inspections of own work to maintain quality
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
* Follow all company health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in production welding (essential)
* Competent in MIG welding (TIG experience an advantage but not essential)
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong reliability and punctuality
Shifts:
Starting off on a Day Shift whilst training then moving to a 2 shift rotation. (Days & Backs)
