We are working alongside a privately-owned Building Services consultancy who have been operating for over 25 years. They have 5 offices and are looking for an ambitious Associate Director with a Mechanical bias to join their Leeds team. This role will encompass a high level of responsibility to help develop the business and offers a really exciting prospect to join an established business with a clear strategy in place for sustainable and profitable growth.

Your workload will be interesting and varied offering different challenges and rewards every day with involvement in management, business development, commercial management and delivery with ongoing support from Director level. Projects sectors include Custodial, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial and much more – MEP values currently ranging between £2-70m.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and oversee the delivery of mechanical building services designs across a portfolio of projects.

* Provide technical leadership for HVAC, public health, and low-carbon building services solutions.

* Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout project lifecycles.

* Develop new business opportunities and support the preparation of fee proposals and bids.

* Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring quality, programme, and budget targets are achieved.

* Mentor and develop engineers, supporting professional growth and succession planning.

* Review and approve engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.

* Drive innovation and sustainable design solutions in line with net-zero and energy-efficiency objectives.

* Coordinate with architects, contractors, developers, and fellow consultants to ensure successful project outcomes.

* Support the strategic growth of the Leeds office and contribute to wider business objectives.

* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal quality management procedures.

* Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, and industry forums to enhance the company's profile
