Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity – Data Centre Project - Southeast London

We are working with a leading M&E Contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a flagship data centre project in South East London. Operating as the Principal Contractor, this organisation has built a strong reputation delivering complex schemes across the data centre, commercial fit-out, and critical infrastructure sectors.

The Role:

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package on a large-scale data centre project, ensuring delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical installations on a major data centre scheme

* Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders

* Overseeing programme, cost control, and quality assurance

* Driving health & safety standards across site operations

* Leading commissioning and handover processes in line with critical environment requirements

* Reporting into senior leadership and contributing to overall project strategy

About You:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E / building services

* Strong background delivering data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects

* Experience working for a main contractor or principal contractor environment

* Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

* Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and commissioning processes

* Ability to manage complex programmes in fast-paced environments
