Remedy are seeking a skilled and experienced SEN tutor that is passionate and dedicated to improving the lives of SEN children and adults.
You will ideally have experience providing 1:1 and small group tuition for students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia.
You should feel confident in your ability to:
Assess, plan and implement bespoke lessons to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of each student
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure student progress
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and school staff
Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and achievements
Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteemRequirements:
A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and often challenging behaviours
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students that have disengaged from learning
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference in student's lives
An enhanced DBS check (ideally on the update service)
Previous experience working within a school or tutoring environment
Specific training or qualifications related to SEN, such as TEACCH, Makaton, or Autism Awareness - desirable
