We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer / Cyber Transformation Lead to support a major cyber security transformation programme within a highly regulated environment. This interim opportunity will work closely with senior cyber leadership to strengthen cyber governance, policy, assurance, culture, and strategic alignment across the organisation.

This role is suited to a cyber professional with strong stakeholder management capabilities and experience delivering transformation initiatives within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted internal cyber security advisor aligned to organisational strategy and objectives.
Support the Deputy CISO and Cyber Security & Information Assurance function in delivering strategic cyber transformation.
Lead and coordinate the resolution of complex or high-profile cyber security issues.
Develop, refresh, and embed cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
Monitor and track policy adoption, compliance, and remediation activities.
Provide portfolio oversight, reporting, and governance support including RAG status reporting.
Conduct horizon scanning activities and deliver leadership briefings on emerging cyber threats, risks, and industry developments.
Support cyber security awareness, culture uplift, and organisational capability improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the establishment of cyber profession standards in collaboration with HR and Learning & Development teams.
Support assurance activities and senior-level cyber incident readiness planning.
Engage effectively with stakeholders across technical, operational, and leadership teams.Essential Skills & Experience

Strong experience in cyber security transformation, governance, or cyber programme leadership roles.
Proven ability to develop and implement cyber security policies, standards, and frameworks.
Experience operating within highly regulated or security-sensitive environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and senior leadership communication skills.
Knowledge of cyber security assurance, risk management, and compliance practices.
Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements including GDPR.
Experience producing strategic reporting, leadership briefings, and governance documentation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive delivery across complex programmes.Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
Minimum GCSE qualifications (Grade A-C / 4-9) in English and Maths are required and certificates must be available upon request.
