£300 - £350 Daily
Contract/Project
A London-based housing provider is seeking an experienced Income Manager to join on 6 month basis to drive immediate improvements across rent collection and arrears performance.
This is a delivery-focused role suited to someone who can quickly assess service performance, introduce structure, and lead a team to achieve tangible results in income recovery.
The Role
You will take ownership of improving income collection performance, strengthening arrears processes, and embedding a more structured, performance-led approach across the service.
Working closely with a small sized team, you'll drive operational improvements, enhance the use of data, and ensure effective management of arrears through both early intervention and robust escalation.
A key part of the role is balancing a supportive and enforcement-led approach to income management. You will ensure residents are appropriately supported to sustain their tenancies, while also overseeing legal escalation where necessary and working collaboratively with wider housing and support teams to deliver joined-up services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in income management within social housing, with proven experience improving arrears performance and leading teams. You will be confident working with data to drive decisions, comfortable challenging performance, and able to introduce change effectively. Knowledge of welfare reform, Universal Credit, and housing systems would be advantageous.
This role would suit someone who is highly driven, delivery-focused, and able to quickly make an impact in a fast-paced environment
