Damp, Mould & Condensation Surveyor
Hertfordshire | £350-£400 per day | 6-Month Initial Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp, Mould & Condensation (DMC) Surveyor to join a local authority housing team in Hertfordshire on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will focus on diagnosing damp, mould and condensation issues across residential properties, managing remedial works, and supporting a proactive approach to property maintenance and resident safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily property inspections and surveys relating to damp, mould, and condensation
Diagnose building defects and identify appropriate remedial solutions
Produce drawings, floor plans, and specifications for improvement works
Raise and manage works orders using appropriate systems and procurement procedures
Supervise contractors on site and ensure works are completed to required standards
Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and statutory requirements
Support proactive block surveys and wider preventative maintenance initiatives
Assist with service improvement and transformation projects across the DMC service
Requirements
Proven experience carrying out damp, mould, and condensation surveys within housing
Strong knowledge of building pathology and property maintenance
Experience managing contractors and supervising works on site
Understanding of health & safety and housing compliance standards
Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills
