Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering company involved in the offshore and marine services sector. Due to projects won they now require a Naval Architect to be involved in the design and construction of offshore facilities.

The Role

Seafastening design and verification
Structural design
On-site engineering support
Support with proposals
Provide guidance and technical support to graduate and junior engineers
Liaise directly with clients and support the project leads
Support with checking and quality control
Complete on-site surveys
Production of engineering calculations, reports and documentation

The Person

Degree in Naval Architecture or another related engineering discipline
2+ Years experience within the offshore sector, with a focus on structural engineering, particularly offshore equipment and seafastening design & verification.
Experience with class rules for offshore and vessel engineering.
Experience using FEA software for structural design and verification.
Chartered engineer (or working towards it) with RINA, IMarEST, or equivalent.
Experience with design software such as AutoCad, FEA and Rhino3D.
Knowledge of marine sections such as offshore wind
