Location: Wakefield

Contract: Full‑time, 5 days per week - Term Time Only

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join a supportive Multi‑Academy Trust in Wakefield. This is a vital position within the school community, ensuring high levels of pupil attendance, safeguarding awareness, and strong communication with families and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Attendance monitoring - Track, analyse, and report on daily attendance and punctuality.
Parent liaison - Build positive relationships with parents/carers to address attendance concerns.
Safeguarding awareness - Escalate concerns promptly and follow school safeguarding procedures.
Data management - Maintain accurate attendance records using school MIS systems.
Multi‑agency collaboration - Work with pastoral teams, EWO services, and external partners to support pupils.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or in a similar school‑based administrative role.
Strong understanding of attendance legislation and safeguarding.
Confident using MIS systems (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom or similar).
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider pastoral team.Why This Role?
