Are you an experienced Production Planner, looking to join a thriving business who are growing due to increased order books? Do you have experience of working within an engineering manufacturing business planning production for a machine shop? Offering a salary of £35-44K dependent on experience, working Monday to Thursday 7.30 - 16.30 and Friday 7.30 - 12.30.

The role:
Plan and prepare production schedules
Coordinate workloads across manufacturing departments and monitor production capacity
Ensuring minimal downtime as well as on time delivery
Monitor progress of jobs through the factory and adjust schedules where required
Deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements
Update ERP/MRP systems with accurate planning and production information
Maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure the supply of materials meets requirements
Implement robust planning processes for the team leaders / senior operators so they can report against and manage capacity
Suitable Candidate:
Previous planning/scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
Experience and confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft office packages
Experience within steel fabrication or engineering manufacturing is advantageous
