We are currently seeking a patient and nurturing 1:1 tutor to support a young learner in the DT5 area with Maths and English.

The young person is in Year 2 but currently working at a Year 1 level, and requires a highly personalised, low‑pressure approach due to SEMH and additional needs.

About the role:

Deliver 2 hours per week (1 hour Maths, 1 hour English)
Sessions to take place in the afternoon, following school attendance in the morning
Potential to increase hours over time, depending on engagement
Focus on building confidence, engagement, and emotional regulation alongside learning
Support a young person who is not yet able to access a full school dayThe ideal tutor will:

Have at least 6 months' experience within a UK education setting
Have experience (or strong understanding) of SEMH needs
Be confident delivering KS1 Maths and English (around Year 1 level)
Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing, able to adjust sessions based on emotional readiness
Focus on relationship building and engagement before academic demandWhat we offer:

£25-£30 per hour
