Minerals & Waste Planner - Environmental Impact Assessment Focus
We are currently working with a well-established planning consultancy to recruit a Minerals & Waste Planner with strong Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) knowledge to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner looking to work within a collaborative and specialist environment, offering exposure to a varied project portfolio across minerals, waste, and environmental planning.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting and delivering minerals and waste planning projects, with a particular focus on Environmental Impact Assessment work. The successful candidate will work closely with a close-knit team of planning professionals and environmental specialists on a range of complex and high-profile developments.
Responsibilities will include:
·Preparing and managing planning applications for minerals and waste developments
·Supporting and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
·Producing planning statements and technical reports
·Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
·Advising clients on planning strategy and environmental considerations
·Assisting with project delivery from inception through to determination
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
·Previous experience within minerals and/or waste planning
·Strong working knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
·Excellent report writing and communication skills
·A proactive and collaborative approach to project work
·MRTPI qualification or working towards chartership is desirable
The Team & Working Environment
·Small, supportive team of approximately 10 people
·Collaborative office culture with strong professional development opportunities
·Office-based role - 4 days per week in the office
Interview Process
The interview process will consist of:
1.Initial Microsoft Teams interview
2.Final face-to-face meeting
