Select Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Metal Polisher to join a busy fabrication team within a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Job Overview
As a Metal Polisher, you will be responsible for polishing metal components using static and flexi polishing machines. The role includes pre-polishing parts, removing imperfections, grinding welds, and finishing components to a high standard suitable for the marine industry.
Key Duties
Polishing metal components using static and flexi polishing machines
Pre-polishing metal parts to remove imperfections
Grinding and smoothing welds after fabrication
Finishing welded joints to a high-quality standard
Working with small batch production components
Inspecting work to ensure quality standards are met
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Working independently and as part of a team
The Person
Previous experience in metal polishing or similar finishing role
Experience within a small batch production environment
Ability to handle and lift large or heavy items
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Ability to work independently and think on your feet
Positive attitude towards health and safety
Willingness to work overtime when required, including weekends
