Junior Systems Design Engineer

We are currently supporting a specialist client focused on electric vehicle powertrain and ancillary technology development who are looking for a graduate engineer to join the team as a Junior Systems Design Engineer. This role will play a key part in supporting all aspects of electric vehicle electronic system design and integration from initial requirements identification through to final calibration and validation. This is a permanent role based in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Systems Design Engineer:

Support vehicle level system architecture and high, low voltage and communication systems design
Assist in vehicle electrical systems integration design
Contribute to safety analysis and design processes
Work with senior engineers supporting test rig design and implementation
Support application test, calibration and validation

Required Skills and Experience for the Junior Systems Design Engineer:

Understanding of various systems and components in modern EV powertrains.
Previous exposure to vehicle systems architecture design
Ideally knowledgeable of systems design and analysis including CAN and LIN along with associated tools such as PEAK, Vector CANalyzer/CANoe
Understanding of wiring loom layout and design
Ability to log and analysis data
