Production Planner

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Production Planner to work with a well-established engineering company based near Kingswinford. As the Production Planner will be responsible for processing and planning of orders for machined components.

Working hours for the Production Engineer:

* Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

Duties of the Production Engineer:

* Process all new sales orders, ensuring routings selected

* are most economical and fully compliant with customer requirements

* Review specifications and drawings, providing technical

* support and assistance to any departments within the business that require it

* Create ITP’s / MPS’s based on customer requirements ensuring all technical and quality aspects are met

* Work closely with production planning to ensure that best route is chosen to suit the businesses current capacity and capabilities

* Dealing with customers regarding any queries of a technical nature where support is needed

* Performing contract review of sales orders and routings

* Deal with suppliers and procuring raw material / finished goods to meet customer demand

The successful candidate for the Production Planners position will have the following experience:

* 3 – 5 years experience working as a Production Engineer/Planner (Essential)

* Looking into the best route of manufacture (Essential)

* Experience working within a machining environment (Essential)

* Working within a Fasteners environment (Desirable)

* Working with ERP Systems (Essential)
