Salary: £51,098

Join us and help drive positive change through innovative solutions that build a more resilient and sustainable world.

What will I be doing?

You’ll deliver both reactive and planned maintenance, working with advanced systems that help transform waste into energy. As part of a collaborative, multi-skilled team, you’ll also share your expertise across disciplines and help keep the site running efficiently.

You'll help keep our advanced control systems running safely and efficiently:

* Deliver planned and reactive EC&I maintenance across the plant to maximise reliability and performance.

* Provide specialist expertise on key equipment including Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMs) and the Distributed Control System (DCS).

* Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs and instrumentation issues quickly and effectively.

* Offer guidance, supervision and development support to junior technicians and the wider team.

* Participate in a 1-in-7 on-call rota for essential out-of-hours cover (fully compensated).

What are the requirements?

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experience levels — your practical skills and safety mindset matter most:

* Completed relevant engineering apprenticeship and qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

* Solid experience in PLCs, programming experience is highly desirable, instrumentation troubleshooting, and experience with DCS systems.

* C&G 2377 PAT Testing qualification.

* Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or similar; training support available if needed).

* Experience with Mitsubishi control systems is desirable but not required

We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups in engineering, energy, and sustainability. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview process, please let us know. We’re committed to being an inclusive employer.
