We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Toolmaker to join a well-established engineering business based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual looking for a permanent day-shift role within a precision manufacturing environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture, maintenance, repair, and modification of precision tooling, working to high engineering standards across a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacture and maintain precision tooling components
Carry out precision grinding and machining operations
Operate EDM spark erosion and wire erosion machinery
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
Support tooling improvements and breakdown repairs where required

Requirements

Engineering qualification essential - ideally Toolmaking or Mechanical Engineering
Strong background in precision engineering and machining
Experience with:
Conventional machining
Precision grinding
EDM spark erosion
Wire erosion
Previous experience within either:
Press tooling, or
Plastic injection mould tooling
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and quality
