GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are proud to be partnered with the UK’s leading independent, family-owned business who specialise in food and drink distribution for wholesale customers, located in Tewkesbury.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical and Quality Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, to support quality control programmes and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

This position is office based, Monday – Friday working 40 hours a week, offering a salary of £35,148 per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-focused and proactive individual who enjoys working across teams and making a real impact. You’ll support audits, investigations and continuous improvement activities in a fast-paced environment.

To be considered candidates must have experience in a technical or quality role within food manufacturing or dairy.

Technical & Quality Assistant main duties:

* Support quality control programmes and ensure compliance with food safety standards

* Assist with audits, traceability exercises and site accreditation requirements

* Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions

* Monitor and report on quality KPIs, complaints and technical data

* Work closely with production, laboratory teams and external partners

* Support inductions, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives

Technical & Quality Assistant required skills and experience:

* Experience in a technical or quality role within food manufacturing or dairy

* Understanding of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, BRCGS)

* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Excellent organisation, attention to detail and analytical skills

* Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams

* A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset
