Our client is seeking a proactive Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day logistics and stock control of their busy warehouse based in Wokingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and logging deliveries, booking in goods via bespoke system, preparing orders, managing returns, and supporting inventory accuracy. The role also contributes to equipment movement, safety, and the ongoing maintenance of a clean and efficient working environment.
This fantastic role is offering a salary of up to £24,784 and will be located in Wokingham. Your working hours will be 9am to 5:30pm with over time available for extra hours worked.
Key Responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative role are:
* Receive and log equipment.
* Book in purchase orders and rental returns via the computer-based stock management system.
* Pick and allocate equipment for rental orders as per order schedules and stock availability.
* Update system records and inform Sales of shortages, damages, or delays.
* Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure correct allocation of equipment.
* Label and move equipment for processing and bin-locate items via laser scanning.
* Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
* Support the safe loading/unloading of vehicles in accordance with manual handling policies.
* Recycle packaging materials and maintain a clean warehouse environment.
* Comply with Health and Safety procedures and support ISO-related activities.
* Assist with warehouse or operational tasks as directed by management.
Skills required for the Warehouse Operative role are:
* Familiarity with computer-based stock management systems.
* Microsoft Outlook and basic IT systems savvy.
* Articulated Forklift licence (advantageous).
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Proactive and flexible approach to tasks and working hours.'
* Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
* Good communication and teamworking abilities.
* Self-motivated, tidy, and safety-conscious.
