About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis within primary and/or secondary SEN school environments across the Wirral.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and passionate support professional who has proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is confident adapting their support to meet a range of complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils with a range of needs, including (but not limited to):

ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
ADHD
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
Learning difficulties

Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Promote independence and confidence in students

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential
Strong understanding of supporting pupils with SEN in school settings
Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
