Primary SEN Class Teacher
We are seeking a compassionate, creative and dedicated Primary SEN Class Teacher to join our supportive specialist school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional learning needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The Role:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will create a positive and structured classroom environment where every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, tailored lessons in line with EHCP outcomes
Support pupils’ academic, emotional and behavioural development
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and parents
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and reports
Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Use positive behaviour strategies to support pupils’ individual needs The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
August 2026 start
Experience working within SEN or mainstream primary settings
Strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive practice
Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for supporting children with additional needs What We Offer
