We are working with a well-established and highly respected commercial vehicle operation based in Poole, who are looking to appoint an experienced HGV Service Advisor to join their busy and professional aftersales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills and experience within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector to join a fast-paced environment where service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are key priorities.
🔧 The Role
As an HGV Service Advisor, you will act as the vital link between customers and the workshop, ensuring a seamless service experience from booking through to completion.
Your duties will include:
* Handling incoming service, maintenance, and repair enquiries for HGV and commercial vehicles
* Scheduling workshop bookings and managing job flow efficiently
* Providing customers with clear and accurate updates on progress and costs
* Liaising closely with technicians and workshop controllers
* Raising job cards, invoices, and relevant service documentation
* Identifying and recommending additional work where appropriate
* Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction throughout
🧠 About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience as a Service Advisor (HGV, automotive, plant, or similar background preferred)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Excellent organisation and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
* A proactive and professional approach
* Good IT skills, with experience using DMS or workshop systems an advantage
