Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis in Chorley. The role involves working Monday to Friday, providing crucial support to students with special educational needs (SEN). This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a flexible role with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with SEN in the classroom during morning lessons.
Provide 1:1 or small group assistance, helping children to engage with the curriculum and make progress.
Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
Help manage behavior and encourage positive social and emotional development.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN setting.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning is desirable.
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
